BETTERFIT-features professional fitness training in two private, fully
equipped "mini-gyms" where only you and your trainer are permitted. NO ONE
WATCHES! We are housed in a state of the art 2,000 square foot facility in
the heart of South Tampa. We boast a large cardio area, XM Satellite Radio,
gorgeous locker rooms and on site massage therapy. Trainers at BETTERFIT are fully certified, each with over a decade of experience. You will learn nuances to productive exercise that you never knew existed. We do not mindlessly "count reps" and we will save you years of wasted effort. We feature intense thirty minute sessions. If you have never experienced a proper, thirty minute workout, please accept a complimentary session. See for yourself why BETTERFIT is different. Thirty minute sessions are more affordable each month, than high priced hourly workout sessions. What we do - Your typical visit to BETTERFIT will begin with a 15 minute warm-up. Simply follow the wall charts posted in our cardio area, step by step. Your trainer will come out out to get you at either the top or bottom of the hour and summon you to the workout rooms, where you will be pummeled mercilessly!!- OK.. we are just kidding-- Your workout will be geared completely toward your current level of fitness. as you adapt to the training stimulus, we make the workouts progressively harder- this takes all the guesswork out of your routine. Our programs are designed completely around your goals. A 65 year old woman, concerned about bone density, will not perform the same routine as a 25 year old Pro Golfer, or a 16 year old baseball player. As a client, you just show up and do the work. We will set up the machines, track your weights, and even hand you the dumbbells!! Because there is virtually no rest time, the routine becomes very effective and unique. Most people rest far to much during their workouts and it costs them results. They tell their friends, I workout for two hours!!--The truth is, thirty minutes of intense work- performed with proper form and intensity- is exactly what you need to meet your goals. It is time conscious and extremely effective. After your weight training session, you will then perform thirty minutes of cardiovascular work in our aerobics area. Your blood sugar level will be lower after weight training(hard weight training burns pure sugar) your cardio work, performed immediately afterwards, will burn more fat. The same principle applies to doing cardio first then in the morning before eating---lower blood sugar equals more fat burning. The body prefers sugar first, fat second, so always do your cardio after weights!! We also do diet consultation during your sessions and keep you on track with 24 hour diet advice via Email. For those desiring more muscle mass, we perform split routines- training different muscles on different days allowing for more fiber breakdown and recovery.
